The Rhodes has always been a difficult instrument to sample and emulate. Most recently, companies have tried tone generation, attack based sampling, velocity based sampling and multisampling, but none have ever sounded just right.
ReasonRhodes uses the hypersampling technique, which is a combination of velocity based sampling, multisampling and extreme detail in sample recording.
We sampled a Fender Rhodes Mark II in pristine condition using the newest Crane Song AD Converters, API Pre-amps and Mogami cables. A sound that could easily cost over $10,000.00 can be in your studio for $44.99. The sound, and the response are finely tuned.
Even if you bought an insanely rare, absolute mint condition Fender Rhodes like the mother of ReasonRhodes, you would have to spend thousands of dollars and have years of recording experience for it to sound as good as ReasonRhodes does on your recording. |
